Our teachers bring unique backgrounds and a rich array of influences and approaches to yoga. While each teacher’s class may differ from week to week, some combination of the following four elements guides their overall approach: strength and flexibility with a physical focus on stretching and strengthening; therapeutic techniques appropriate for those recovering from illness or injury, or working with chronic pain (note our teachers do not provide medical treatment nor dispense any diagnosis or cure from any particular condition); mindfulness and meditation with quiet attentive guidance, which may include philosophical teachings from various wisdom traditions; and active movement for those who seek longer periods of time on their feet and/or fluid movement from pose to pose.
