Menopause—the years leading up to it and the years that follow—shouldn’t be “just another thing” you have to deal with. It’s both a turning point and a new baseline that sets the stage for the rest of our embodied lives. So how can we expect the yoga practice we built around a body that no longer exists to support us now? It can’t.
Designed for anyone in peri-, active, or post-menopause, this workshop offers a road map and compass to help you pivot your yoga practice to the body you’re actually in. We’ll approach the yoga of menopause from three angles:
- The rapidly emerging science of menopause and self-empathy as a foundational lens
- Where and how to refocus your asana practice to meet the body you have now
- Why deep rest and restorative practices are a necessity, not a luxury, to support overall health and wellbeing
Each body and menopause journey is unique. Come as you are, and find community among other women navigating the same terrain.
