Advances in science have completely changed what we understand of the brain. As yoga practitioners, let's make use of this. We can select yoga poses, breathing and meditations directly for their effect on the nervous system and our mind/body unity. This workshop practice will be well rounded, for flexibility, strength, and ease of being. We'll focus on yoga to support health of the nervous system, including meditation. We'll discuss current research in topics such as brain plasticity. Other movement modalities such as Qi Gong, Feldenkrais and energy medicine will be introduced. All levels of experience are welcome.
