Discover the basics of safe and supportive hands-on adjustments in this welcoming, two-part workshop designed for yoga teachers who are new or returning to the art of assisting others. In this beginner-level course, you'll explore the fundamentals of touch, alignment, and body awareness in a supportive and collaborative environment from a healing-centered approach. No prior experience with adjustments is necessary – just a curiosity to learn and grow.
Part 1: Foundations of Hands-On Assisting
Saturday July 12, 1p - 4p
In this session, you'll learn how to approach giving adjustments with care and confidence. We'll introduce simple types of adjustments and their purposes, and you'll get to practice with sun salutations and standing poses in a guided, step-by-step way.
Part 2: Exploring Touch, Breath, and Connection
Sunday July 13, 1p - 4p
In this session, we'll explore how breath and intentional touch can enhance connection and support in yoga. You’ll continue practicing adjustments with seated poses and other foundational positions, learning to listen and respond with sensitivity.

Both days together: $100
This workshop, presented by Urban Yogic Wellness and Education (UYWE), is an approved Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Program (YACAP) for those earning CE credits. It also serves as an introduction to our larger 125-hour hands-on adjustments program for yoga teachers interested in deepening their practice.***
