Self-Care Sanctuary: A Pampered Yoga Getaway with Annie & Amir

  • Palmaïa - The House of AïA Playacar, Qintana Roo Mexico (map)

JOIN US FOR FOUR DAYS AND NIGHTS
IN A RIVIERA MAYAN PARADISE

Join Annie and Amir for yoga, meditation, deep relaxation, delicious food, culturally inspired rituals and holistic workshops at this luxury resort sweetly nestled on the whitest sand beach and the bluest Caribbean water you can imagine. This is your sanctuary. Create your own perfect rhythm—do as much or as little as you choose. No pressure, no expectations, and no experience needed.

Our Setting

Set among the Riviera Maya, Palmaïa is a unique haven of tranquility. In addition to its stunning location, bohemian chic décor, and majestic ocean views, what sets Palmaia apart is the heartfelt service and warmth of all the staff. Each of the wellness guides brings a level of skill and care that can be felt. The ethos of whole person care permeates every area of Palmaia.

It is the many out-of-the-ordinary experiences that will capture your imagination. The Temazcal ceremony, an ancient wellness ritual (i.e., hot lava rocks, similar to a sweat lodge), is an inward journey of releasing burdens. The gorgeous cenote (limestone sinkhole), filled with crystal clear water and surrounded by rich foliage, is the perfect place to unwind after your spa treatment. The rituals deck, cocooned by shade trees, is a tranquil atmosphere for yoga, art class, or a cacao ceremony.

You’ll find plenty of well designed places to relax and grab a bite to eat. The rhythmic beats of Eolo Beach club are enhanced by the creative menu of mocktails and cocktails, and the bonfire on the beach is a great place to swap stories from the day.

Your luxury suite has a nice lounging area and balcony to take in the beautiful ocean view. An added bonus is the complimentary room service, snacks, and fully stocked mini fridge. You’ll find everything at The House of AïA is designed to support holistic wellness and made to feel like ‘mi casa es su casa.’ I am excited to share this amazing place with you.

The Cuisine

Your retreat includes three full meals daily, with cuisine prepared by Michelin-star chefs made with local, organic ingredients (gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options available at all times).

In addition, you enjoy any additional food and drink, anytime you like, whether it’s a pre-breakfast coffee, mid-afternoon pick-me-up, midnight snack, or anything in between. Full-service restaurants, a fully stocked complimentary mini-bar, and on-site health cafe and juice bar are all yours to enjoy as you wish.

Palmaia’s commitment to holistic wellness shines brightly through its fresh and creative approach to food. You will savor lovingly prepared dishes as you gaze out at the Caribbean Sea. Choose from five stylish onsite restaurants offering locally sourced plant-based menus, along with offering exquisite, non-vegan options (such as fish, chicken, meat, and eggs).

Locally sourced food merges with the Executive Chef’s inspired guidance to unveil daily menus that are as delicious as they are fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Do you gravitate toward creative and healthy cuisine? Then you will be excited to try the soy-marinated, watermelon poke bowl, smoked-carrot toast, Palmaïa burger with sweet potato fries, and (plant-based) cheese and mushroom quesadillas. You can enjoy lunch pool or beach side, so your feet never have to leave the sand.

Travel Insurance / Cancelation Policy

Travel insurance is highly recommended. Please note that most policies purchased more than 14 days following your initial trip deposit will not cover pre-existing conditions, so we encourage you to purchase your policy with that window in mind.

Sun & Moon is not responsible for unforeseen personal circumstances, including but not limited to sickness, medical emergencies, family issues, personal schedule changes, etc. There are several trip insurance plans that cover everything from medical reasons (the most common reason for cancellation), weather, laid off from work, and even “cancel for any reason” policies.

Due to the extensive planning and financial commitments required for this international retreat, our cancellation policy for Mexico differs from our other retreats. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, but because this experience involves significant upfront costs, and as such we must adhere to the following policy:

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable upon payment.  Your deposit secures your spot and allows us to make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.

We are limiting this retreat to 20 rooms and will maintain a waitlist once all rooms have been reserved. If you need to cancel and the room is filled from the waitlist, we will refund 100% of your payment, but only if the room is filled.

Our cancelation policy is firm and there are no exceptions, including medical, emergencies, personal engagements, etc. Purchasing travel insurance is the only way to protect your investment. By registering for this retreat, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. Thank you for understanding and for being a part of this extraordinary experience.

Additional information to email us once you’ve made your deposit:

  1. The room type you would like to reserve

  2. If you are sharing with anyone, please provide their name (they must also register and pay their deposit separately)

  3. If you are adding days on, tell us how many days and which dates you’d like to add to your reservation.
