Lucky Finds
I kid you not: Yesterday I saw a crow take off from a street corner with a Bud Light in tow. I cannot tell you if the can was already empty, or just about to be, but that crow was flying high and happy.
It reminded me of the energy that some people exude when they’ve found a small treasure on our Freecycle shelf here at the studio. They step out of yoga class, browse the display, and pick that one shiny thing that feels just right as they float home on good energy and a lucky find.
Even without a keepsake, our students leave in a decidedly better state than when they arrived. Just today, a newcomer described what brought her to us:
“I was walking down the street and saw someone leaving your studio, mat in hand, simply glowing. I asked if they liked the classes at Sun & Moon, and they raved about how wonderful they always feel afterwards.”
We don’t give away beer, and we can’t vouch for what you’ll find on the Freecycle shelf, but time and again we’ve witnessed the transformative power of a great yoga class: it sends people home buoyed by something larger than themselves as they walk a little lighter and carry a little more joy.
