You Might Need A Butterfly Hug Right Now

Try this simple hack for moments of anxiety and overwhelm

Practice along with Christine Clardy in the video below. Begin by finding your breath; exhale and pause to know that you are going to feel better. Cross your arms to hug over your chest, making sure the tips of your middle finger are touching right below your collarbone.

While in this position, close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Then, tap on your chest with each hand, mimicking a butterfly flapping its wings. Find a rhythm in your breath and continue to tap all around your upper chest, anywhere it feels nice.

When you're satisfied, use your crossed arms to hug your shoulders. Inhale nice and long. As you breathe out, let your fingers trace down the outsides of your upper arms, toward the elbows, past the wrists and off the fingertips. Shake your hands gently, as if you're shaking off water droplets, and maybe some stress and worry while you're at it!
