Combining the three magic ingredients of conscious breathing, rhythmic walking, and focused body awareness, Breathwalk Meditation is a fabulous way to awaken the body and unleash our vitality. It combines specific breathing patterns synchronized with walking steps, and further enhanced with meditative attention. Exercises are aimed at producing specific effects such as increased energy, mood control, clarity of thought and feelings, and it’s also a great option for those too fidgety for seated meditation.
In this workshop, we meet outside in nature, increasing our connection to self, others and the natural environment. The program includes a brief introduction, breath priming and a short preparation exercise, an approximately 30-minute walk, finished with “triple balance” stretches and a visualization for integration of the experience.
