Because of our brain’s ability to change (plasticity), we can train ourselves to tilt our mind towards happiness. In his book “Hardwiring Happiness,” Dr. Rick Hanson outlines a simple, yet potent, method for overcoming negativity bias called Taking in the Good. In this workshop, Jennifer combines yin yoga with Hanson’s techniques, and will offer an interactive mix of lecture on the method, some partner and large group dialog, and a gentle yin practice as a context for having positive experiences even when things are challenging.

Breathe In the Magic of Iceland: Six-Day Yoga Vacation with Annie & Amir

Iceland is wild and beautiful, steeped in magic and the mystic. Come see for yourself on our six-day tour of southern Iceland. We begin the trip in Reykjavik and travel north east up the coast to the Kirkjubaejarklauster area, stopping along the way for black sand beaches, waterfalls and awe -inspiring views. We’ll spend two nights on the east coast and visit the iceberg lagoon and nearby glaciers. Traveling the Golden Circle on way to our overnight in Selfoss, we stop to view the gigantic Gulfoss waterfall and shooting geysers in Geysir. Twice daily yoga (schedule permitting) will keep us grounded, grateful, and inspired throughout. Deposits due April 30!
