JJ has so much fun chanting to her student's at the end of class as well as teaching chanting workshops. She has received feedback over the years to record these chants so she finally decided to do just that.
This cd was recorded with her good friend, Ben Mason, who has been singing and recording his music for years. Most recently Ben's music has taken a more spiritual course and he was delighted to be asked to record these most ancient chants with her. Approx. 48 minutes

This video introduces simple alignment techniques at each of the seven main charka centers in the body. 1) The root of the spine. (tailbone) 2) The sacrum. 3) The solar plexus or waistline to lower rib area. 4) The heart or chest/thoracic spine area. 5) The throat (neck) area. 6) The eyes and back of skull area. 7) The top of the head or crown.
The idea behind yoga is to align ourselves with nature so that our own energetic flow is more synchronized with the Divine. These simple movements help to move us toward that alignment. By using the alignment techniques taught in this video in your daily yoga practice you will bring more centeredness, stability and calmness to your life. Many people practicing these movements will feel healing take place and be able to move out of old injuries and watch chronic pain disappear.

This video has seven different sun salutations (a flowing sequence of poses
dedicated to our life on this planet). Each salute corresponds to one of
the seven main chakras of the body and incorporates movements and ideas
for each chakra. 1) Root Chakra: grounds energy of the body into the earth.
2) Sacral Chakra moves the body fluidly,
3) Solar Plexus Chakra: heats the body and helps find your core strength.
4) Heart Chakra: opens and strengthens the chest and back for better breathing.
5) Throat Chakra: energizes vocal expression and releases tension in the neck, throat and law.
6) Brow Chakra: balances the eyes and connects us to our intuition.
7) Crown Chakra: connects us to the Divine.
The sequence of salutes begins with chakra one and moves up through chakra seven and than back down from seven through one. Hence, there are 14 salutes. You may wish to follow the first half on one day, and complete the second half on another day or for a longer routine, follow the entire video.
This video is recommended for advanced-beginners, or those familiar with the Sun-Salute (Surya Namaskar) sequencing. The companion video, Aligning Your Chakras with Yoga, is highly recommended for learning proper alignment in all yoga poses.
